The Art of a Souvenir is a result of a semester long senior capstone project. I conducted in-depth research and wrote a paper of my findings. I designed, printed, and published this book at the end of the semester.
This book investigates the origins and the material goods and souvenirs of the tourism industry and the impact that they have on local economies and cultures. As it turns out, the commodification and mass production of these once culturally sacred items may be doing more harm than good to local cultures and economies.
